You don’t need exotic locations for great portrait photography. A local lighting store made for a unique backdrop for a retro themed photo shoot with Pyrion Astorii. @beyond_the_depths Website: Pyrion Astorii

Natural Light
Taking advantage of early morning light from the large store front windows made for some really beautiful natural light portraits.

Switching to the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G lens offered more background compression and a really nice look as the morning light illuminated some large brass light fixtures.

Conversion to monochrome in Lightroom really added to the retro feel.

Off Camera Flash
Two off camera flashes provided a nice variance from the natural light photos.

Do you see a great spot for a photo here? Sometimes you have to get creative and off camera flash can really help.

A little Photoshop helped with a Nikola Tesla inspiration.
